Getting Positive, Purposeful and Productive …

Let’s keep this good, highly positive energy going. I have to say; it has been a while since I have written two articles in a row. Normally, I try to post at least 1 article a month. I found my time slipping through my fingers minute by minute. People always say, “We all have 24hours in a day – it is up to you to make the most of it.” Let’s digest the “24 hours” we all have:

  • 6 – 8 Hours – People normally spend sleeping
  • 2 Hours – Getting ready for work, school, date or other events, which can take up to (start to finish – bathing, dressing, make-up, getting kids up and ready, etc.)
  • 3 Hours – We seem to take up several hours to eat (in totality)
  • 2 – 3 Hours – Then there is the “Waiting” on something or someone, all together (depending on how fast traffic takes, public transportation, elevators, walking dogs, etc.)

What are we up to now? 16 hours

Okay, 24 Hours – 16 Hours = 8 hours (Purposeful Time Left)

And you guessed it, most of us work at a minimum of 8 hours a day – that is the rest of it. That is what most people’s 24 hours may look like, give or take some adjustments in tasks and responsibilities. That is how one can find time slipping through one’s fingers.

How is this positive, purposeful, or productive information, Jenice?!? You may be asking with learning this frustration realization. I am glad you asked. The key to taking back your time is realizing that you have more than enough of it … simple, but true. Now that most of us are finding ourselves teleworking, on a compressed or flex-schedule, we literally are being the gift of time. Each and every day, you get to choose (hopefully), how you spend your time now.

Getting positive – if you still are employed in a safe working environment, be thankful. Getting purposeful – If you are working, then what you are doing is purposeful, and thank you for all you do, every day that you do it. Focused on Production – Production is not everything; poor quality is worst than producing nothing. Production is nothing without quality time spent ensuring the product is of good value. Instead of listening to all of the negative jargon all the time, do yourself a favor and find something to be positive, purposeful, and productive about. You will find you have more time than you could have ever scheduled on your calendar.

Be well,

Jenice

Forgiveness Friday – Knowing Who You Are

This Forgiveness Friday we focus on “knowing who you are.” Knowing who you are involves an awareness of your past, your present and how you plan on moving towards your future. Often we live our life forward, yet we only can understand it backwards. Reflecting on past obstacles, challenges, dilemmas and oversights are all part of growing your self-knowledge of who you are. When you’re able to reflect on your past, you are able to understand yourself the full aspect of your personal growth and development. It’s important to set aside time each day to reflect on things that you’ve done, said and plan on doing or saying. When you’re conscious of your thoughts, words and deeds you’re able to affiliate positive change towards future events. Truth be told, many people do not know who they are and rarely take the time to self-reflect. Forgive yourself this and you take the time to get to know yourself. You may be surprised at who you come to find yourself to be.

Monday Morning Mindset – Building Up

Today’s Monday Morning Mindset focuses on “building Up.” You have an important part to play in this world; we all have a life purpose. Your purpose may be to influence, motivate and uplift. You purpose may be to provide encouragement or to promote goodwill. Either way, you matter and your purpose is significant to the lives of others. Take some time this week to seek to find your natural ability to commit to your life purposes and become actively significant in the matters of “building up.” When you choose to build up, you build up others around you. Everyone has a purpose, find your purpose – no matter what it is, you matter and you have the power to build up and promote goodwill from where you are.

Forgiveness Friday – Small Things

This weeks’ Forgiveness Friday focuses on forgiveness of the small things. Many times in relationships we allow little things to slip into the arena of unforgiveness within our minds. When your spouse forgets to make the bed up and rushes out the door without giving you a kiss goodbye, it is then you need to choose to forgive. When your friend forgets an appointment with you, it is then you need to choose to forgive. When your books don’t come in on time for the first day of class, it is then you need to choose to forgive. Way too often we think that forgiveness is solely reserved for something, which involves deceitfulness, betrayal, or any other life changing event. But, the truth is forgiveness is for everything, including the small things. When you choose to forgive the small things, you’re choosing to release the ability for small things to add up to a huge explosion of laired unforgiveness. Make a point to be consciously aware of the small things that are in need of forgiveness within your life.

Personal Awareness

A thought is energy that you can control. Instead of being affected by negative energy, create positive life energy in place of it.

Each of us has the ability to visualize, for I believe that everyone can think of a rose, either to picture it or feel it. This is the process one would use in order to become more aware of the energy in and around them. You can learn to feel the emotional energy in a room of people by picking out which person is emitting energy that is feeling anxiety, upset, or joy. You can learn to change the effect of that energy by closing your eyes, focusing with precision on the energy that is bothering you, and changing its impact with your mind. Just as you can close your eyes and visualize a rose, so can you use the process of visualization to heal people and work on energy that you do not like, or would like to evolve.

Most people tense up when encountering negative energy. That attracts even more negative energy. To avoid being affected by negative energy, relax. Any process of relaxation will work. Then visualize or image a peaceful feeling. By visualizing what feelings you do want, you will not pick up negative energies you don’t want.

Personal Awareness Note

It is important to know how much you are capable of receiving, for many of you are not very open to accepting anything, although you love to give to others.  If you feel that others do not appreciate what you give them, it is time to take a look at how open you are to receiving from others.  Start the new year off right and appreciate yourself – first.

Poem: All Things

Love is everything, love never fails
Love will always prevail
True love never dies, it only multiplies
Love is the one thing that takes no account
No matter how much you fret and pout
Love is the strength of anything good
Love has the ability to destroy all the bad, and see only good
With love, one must gain clarity
It is only love that gives no account to animosity
With love, you know and have all things
It is with deep, true, unconditional love that one has all things
